The
Fire Station Inn (c1866) located on the High street, in North
Adelaide was bought and restored by Rodney and Regina Twiss in
1998.
Until its conversion to heritage accommodation it was a classic Victorian bluestone two storey fire station.

In General
The Fire Engine Suite is a marvellous open plan huge suite, which used to house the Fire Engines and still has the Fireman's pole. It features an
enormous 2-person spa bath on heated black and white checked floor tiles. The original front bi-folding doors have been renewed and hung with
red and white striped awnings. The kitchen is hidden behind the red jarrah bar and contains a mini bar, halogen oven top, microwave & dishwasher
and is ideal to be used for entertaining. The floor is tiled with terracotta and heated with under floor heating. A fire engine red South Australian
antique prison door with a key hole sets a humorous note and ensures privacy. The old Fireman's red hooded bedroom lights have been restored
and now illuminate the walls of the Fire Engine Suite. A state of the art intercom system, vets all visitors, and allows for security and privacy. The
most surprising and humorous decorative touch is the presence of a working order International Lend Lease circa 1942, parked in your
bedroom!

The property's furniture and furnishings are a mix of classic and antique- a restored wing back lounge in the atrium lounge, triple pleated drapes, a collectable French tapestry, Scottish lace, a polished cotton quilt and original paintings by Ashby and
Simpson. Although of recent construction, the two-storey property has been completely refurbished with an eye on quality and detail. State of
the art features include a gas hot water system with individual temperature dials for optimum personal comfort in both bathrooms, 12 volt
trapeze track lighting and an Aritisan Stainless Steel washer-dryer. edroom 2 has double brass bed, huon Pine robe and chest of drawers. The kitchen has an attractive work area with a superb Tasmanian Myrtle
bench lit buy 12-volt lights, dishwasher, insinkerator and bench-top oven. In the ground floor bathroom, the king-size spa, perfect for a
soaking after a hard day, has natural lighting through a newly installed opaque window. There is a second family bathroom complete with bath
